‘A Flying Visit’
A flying visit late this wet and windy afternoon from the grandchildren - bearing a very welcome present!.
With their parents, they’d been having ‘Afternoon Tea’ at the Caledonian Hotel - what has become an annual treat from their Uncle Oli. It’s a great opportunity to dress up bit, and play at ‘being formal’. I think they find ‘being formal’ is much easier to do when they’re just playing at it!
They enjoy this aspect, as well as the copious amount of cakes provided. This is more than they can possibly eat, and their Edinburgh grandparents are, traditionally, the beneficiaries of a rather posh doggy bag! (See extras)
