"Howard Park"

We don't often walk through this part of the park but it was nice to view this little pond from the rear. It looks so different. Sad to see the Woods Hospital building lying empty. My mind goes back to the time when Matron Pacey was there, summer fetes, also visiting family who were convalescing after surgery. More recent taking mum up for day care two days a week. She loved spending time in such a warm and welcoming building ... it now lies empty and the people that mum loved to spend a happy few hours with now have to travel to Tameside by bus for a much shorter placement.
Apparently this new arrangement is better for clients and as a result of this "better arrangement" Woods Hospital building lies empty, open to vandalism and neglect.
It wasn't quite as cold today :-)
