Asterix and his Gaita Galega

This bagpipe player could be the blueprint of my cartoon hero Asterix. I was quite surprised to hear (and later see) bagpipes here. It goes all the way back to the 8th century when the gothics ruled here. It is not so long ago that this beautiful instrument was introduced again after an absence of a couple of centuries.
I love the folk music from this area!
