OLD FASHIONED VIOLETS

Today I went to a nearby town to scout out plants for my front yard renovation. I found a few potential plants, then we wondered over to the annuals & perennials. That is where I was overcome by “plant lust.”

I could not resist buying these VIOLETS,
SWEET PEAS & RANUNCULUS. It was so windy & cold, I should have kept walking,
but….

Anyway, according to my book,

VIOLETS protect against wicked spirits & bring good luck. “If you pick the first Violet that you find in spring, you can make a wish on it & it will come true.”

The wind should stop tomorrow, so I can plant them.
