A path less travelled
“Roots are not in landscape or a country, or a people, they are inside you.”
Isabel Allende
A walk alone to Sugar Loaf, via Deri Hill, gives an altogether different perspective as the cold grey of winter asserts itself. There are still plenty of others making the ascent along different paths, but today I chose the quieter ways, to listen to the inner voice, the voices of the trees and stones, to get a more direct view of the landscape. I like to walk the old tracks, which still hold the memories of those who have walked before, and maybe even those who have yet to walk them.
