Cloud chaser

Today certainly didn't go according to plan and I didn't get much done. Late afternoon I had to go to the supermarket. Driving along the motorway there was this amazing cloud, which seemed to be touching the ground and it was in two parts, white at the front and really dark at the back. It almost looked like a tornado storm. It was quite eerie. I would have loved a photo from there. 

As I pulled off the motorway I got a really good view of it but no place to stop. I couldn't resist trying to find somewhere to photograph it from though so took a different route, slightly away from the shop. It was very frustrating as I couldn't see it to the extent I had seen before. I stopped in a lay by for this shot, even though I couldn't see the bottom so it wasn't as effective. I wasn't satisfied with this so went right out of my way trying to guess where I might see it from. At no point was it as effective as it had been. I eventually saw it from a distance, as per the extra, and then gave up.

Went round to a friend's house for a meal. Had a lovely evening with them.
