Yesterday I found a shoe tree on my walk. I’ve seen a similar species, a boot tree, near Kirkby Stephen. It was too wet to point the camera upwards so took the same route today.

I’ve no idea how long the shoes have hung there and don’t expect them to move but once the foliage appears they may be hidden …… until autumn.
