It has been dull with rain showers for most of today.

My garden would have appreciated a good drink, but many sheltered spots were still very dry when I ventured out to sprinkle fertiliser under the lemon tree and around the rose bushes.
However, it was another story across the Bay where certain areas were struggling with much too much rain - to the extent that the state highway between Nelson & Rai Valley was closed because of flooding.


Thank you for the comments, stars and hearts for my previous rather dramatic blip. I have never seen a rainbow quite like the one featured. The sun was getting low in the sky and a sudden break in the black clouds created the spotlight effect.
