Charles

Ever since I made a drama about Charles I’ve had an affection for this complex roguish man.  My friend Manda and I always pat his foot whenever either of us walk through Soho Square and now I am only working in London he’s become a bit talismanic for me so I often make a small detour to see him.  The sculpture is a bit eroded which I rather like. It was made by  Caius Gabriel Cibber the father of the actor manager Colly Cibber.  

All my IRL meetings fell away because our Head of Development has Covid and so I ended up in the office doing everything on zoom.  That said some of my team were in so it was lovely to see them and to meet our new Development Assistant Suhur who has just started.  

Still pushing rocks up hills in terms of clinching programme commissions but inching nearer on three fronts. I hope.
