A Foolish Sparrow

Ollie dog and I had a nice walk at Fishers Green and I got shots of lots of birds, including a redhead smew but I like this image of a humble dunnock best. I'm really getting into shooting birds through twigs and foliage.

Dunnocks were also called hedge sparrows, though they are not from the sparrow family. The bird was also dubbed foolish sparrow because it was believed that it was easily deceived by cuckoos seeking nests in which to lay their eggs.
