Bingo!

Thankfully the wind had dropped this morning, and although it was still a bit dull, I went down to the river for a walk. As expected, there were plenty of Scarlet Elfcups fruiting.  What I was hoping to see, although less confident about, were Dippers. They seem to have been absent for the last few years but today in a spot where I've seen them nest building in the past, I saw a pair working the river. The light was quite poor and the birds were very active so getting a shot was not easy, but there were a a few moments were they stood still and I was able to get a shot.
