Sally Mair - Loving life

Oh no it's not!

Today's big excitement (not) was the arrival of a third 'in house display unit' for our smart meter. It's arrived very promptly after my call to EDF on Monday. I went through all the motions of linking it to my SMART meter and in spite of what the display says, like its predecessors, it didn't. The next step was to phone them to arrange an appointment for an engineer to come out and connect it. In great anticipation I phoned only to be told, as I already knew, that nothing was going to connect a display to our meter, but you need to follow the correct procedure to move on. The problem has now been escalated to a complaint, I have asked either for the SMART meter to be removed or replaced as the current one is helpful to the energy company but not to us. They have 20 days to deal with it before it escalates again. We'll see.
My blip is of our collection of display units, two of which are going back by post tomorrow.
Other than that, I feel very virtuous I cleaned most of the downstairs windows, inside and out, I had a coffee with Kathryn, I drafted a tricky letter, wrote a report and generally did lots of little, but time consuming, tasks. I have many more to do!
Keep safe folks, I'm a bit fed up of this cold weather, but I realise I can't actually complain about the weather.
