Willis Jeep

Today I took a ride out in a 1945 Ford Prefect to join in a “steam up” and road run. A group of vintage cars, bikes and steam engines made their way to a village pub. It’s become a once a month event and is a nice opportunity to catch up with my Weald of Kent Steam Rally friends.

A Willis Jeep joined in the fun today and I had a sit in it. I never knew they were all fitted with Coca Cola bottle openers and in the 1940s the soft drink had amphetamines in it! That’s one way to keep the troops happy.
