The Big Kahuna

My Dear Princess and Dear Friends,

This is the last room install. It's over.

And it is a MONSTER. That's a 98" display that El Jefe is posing next to, and that is Sam in Auckland giving us the thumbs up.

Of course it is not the end of the project, we've got at least a couple of months yet. But still.

This room is actually in the main Kainga Ora office where I work. It's the boardroom and so will be used by government types and senior execs when they come to visit from the Beehive. Therefore it is extra flash and has all the top of the range gear that most of our other rooms do not.

I had a fun day with Jefe. We were checking out the super-deluxe microphones in that room. I went to another room and Jefe spoke very quietly.

"Can you hear me now?" he asked.

Then he got progressively quieter.

"Can you hear me now?" he said, softly.

"Can you hear me now?" he whispered.

"British people suck. We threw your stupid tea into the water ha ha ha," he breathed.

"I bloody well heard that," I responded. "And you people need to get over that effing tea thing. For eff's sake, move on."

Afterward he took me for burritos at a place run by a Mexican guy. Jefe recommended them as being truly authentic burritos (he grew up in San Diego and went to Tijuana a lot as a teen). However, he couldn't help but bring up the fact that a Taco Bell is opening in Wellington soon.

"Pendejo!" said the guy.

I'm guessing that is nothing good.

We returned to the office to do some more work on the room and sat and had laughs with Losi (who we brought a quesadilla).

And then Jefe checked out another room which had broken down. It was a quick fix and nothing major but now that the room installs are finished, it made me think I really should break more stuff. I want more burritos with that pendejo, man.
