Light & Dark - Take 2

Sunday at midnight is the deadline for the weekly Hair of the Dog pet photography challenge. I wanted to try something a little different than my attempts earlier this week (here and here). I dug all through my basement storage searching for some paper lanterns I bought last year, but I couldn't for the life of me find them ... I grabbed some Christmas lights and was going to do that, but they don't give off much light, which wasn't what I was really envisioning. That's when I remembered that years ago I had purchased some really cool lights from IKEA, but I had never been arsed enough to put them together. For a 20 minute photo shoot, apparently I will do anything ;) So, I built the lamps and here is the result! After the shoot, I immediately imported all the photos and went through them and started editing as it was already after 10pm. I fell asleep on my computer - d'oh!!! Luckily (I guess ...) Mr. Badger arrived home at a quarter til midnight - the dogs woke me up, being all happy he was home (just some nuzzles). I had no idea he was home. As I am saying hi to the dogs, Mr. Badger jumps out from the door right next to the couch and I scream bloody murder! He thought this was the funniest thing ever and couldn't stop giggling ... In other news (sorry to blab so much!!), my lovely parents came up to drop off some awesome chairs I bought at the end of February and to have a little visit and some shopping. It was wonderful having them up :) We made tacos and went to Savers, where my Mum and I both bought some clothes and lovely fabrics together, and then the LL Bean outlet - where my Mum got 3 pairs of pants for $10!! Banner clothes shopping day for her ;)
