Wise?
Phyllis was reading her little book of wisdom on the dart, with her face mask nonchalantly dangling from her ear.
To be fair, yesterday evening she met with the girls in a busy little Italian restaurant, unmasked, with Tony Holohan's blessing. Then they hit the pub and were downing pints at the bar, all huddled together and singing songs of praise to Stephen Donnelly, unmasked, not breaking any rule.
Then they zigzagged their way into a nightclub, did Jägermeister shots, and sweated the night away on the dancefloor, unmasked, as allowed by Leo Varadkar, and eventually snogged some Russian sailors on shore leave in Dublin after a naval training exercise with live amo on Irish trawlers 230 km off the coast of Cork.
So when the recorded announcement came on the Dart that masks are still mandatory on public transports, it fell into a deaf ear (but still handy for hanging a mask from).
I can't blame her.
But is it wise?
