Getting Used To It

I find my new lens, for want of a better word, operates better without my glasses. I’m getting used to it and decided to reread my discharge notes, probably just as well, as the Navy would say, “light duties” for two weeks not the one I originally thought.

What a novelty is walking without Paddy and going down into Falmouth. Feels strange strolling at my own pace instead of being towed along by Paddy and Falmouth, apart from Myatts the Butchers and occasionally Boots the Chemist there is no real need to go through the town. The fear of years ago that we would see the town being turned into charity shops, coffee shops and bars is slowly being realised.
Some gems still remain, Upton Slip with Amy the figurehead is still a gem. Lots of old bits & pieces laying around but my guess would be that neither the anchor nor the cannon are as old as the door behind them.

I saw lots of other changes and additions but not many people.
