Sailing to Ålesund

Out on deck after breakfast, just Wow! view after Wow! view as the snow clouds zipped past. Even saw a pair of sea eagles which would have made my day on it’s own! Ålesund is our longest stop on the trip because the summer and autumn sailings up the fjords aren’t possible at this time of year so we took ourselves off to see the local aquarium. Decided to stretch our legs and walk there but it was heavy going in the snow and slush so bussed it back and settled in a cafe for a bit as the snow got heavier. (They love their coffee strong in Norway by the way.) Then a bit of wandering around town before heading back. That’s enough exercise for one day, dinner awaits.
