Pink-footed Geese #23
It was a high tide today at Parkgate, but the lighter winds meant that it didn't actually come in as far as expected and the raptor spectacle didn't happen. The most movement was from the pink-footed geese that kept drifting into the pools near to the car park.
I was also watching the stonechats that were around, but they didn't really come close enough for a good shot.
And there was a wren that kept bobbing up out of the undergrowth chattering away, but was just too quick for me today.
I enjoyed the time we spent there but can't help feeling a tad disappointed, but this didn't last long as I found out that we'd won £25 in this months premium bonds draw.
