Best laid plans

I had tea all planned and prepped.
Then Mama A rang to say she was craving the garlic mushrooms from the Crafty Fox and did we want to join them for food.

I left the decision to Mr A, who also decided he wanted garlic mushrooms and so agreed to meet his clan there at 6pm.

The landlord knows us now, so as we walked in, he said he’d put us down for two cheese pies we really are that predictable. He also told us he’d worked out how much cheese goes into each individual pie; one whole block….that’s my healthy A choice for a month at least!!

He kindly made a few substitutions for my meal, swapping out the chips, onion rings and fried mushrooms for a jacket potato, tomatoes and veg. I’d said no butter in the spud but they put it in, but luckily it hadn’t melted so I could scoop it out.
He chooses his own cuts of meat from the butcher so the steak was really lean. No starter, dessert or beer for me, just a nice cup of tea :-)
