Explorers

We have had unusually warm weather the last few days, I'm hesitant to call it good weather as there is nothing good in waking up the dormant nature too early! I'm also worried, for how warm will it get in summer if we already have up to 20 degrees now? This warm spell has drawn my mind to the insect-cluster I blipped a few days ago. I've wondered how they are reacting to the warm weather. So I went back to check on them. On the way there I found several  primulas and winter aconite that are rising up from the decaying leavebed in the woods, sure sign of the arrival of spring. The tree where the insects overwintered was easy to find, the third tree after a sharp turn in the path that goes towards the dam. I was happy to see that the majority of the insects of the cluster was still asleep, not lured out of diapause by the warm weather, but a few brave explorers were awake and were cautiously wandering close to their winter-home. Maybe they were sent off by the group to test the conditions before a general wake up call would be sent out to the rest! I'm curious to know how that communication takes place!
I also had a chance to examine the bugs better and must correct myself, they are not firebugs as I had believed but groundbugs (Tropidothorax leucopterus)..please correct me if I'm wrong..again!
