Birthday Treat
M and I went to Norwich today for some shopping and a lovely light lunch at the Assembly House in Norwich. Designed by architect Thomas Ivory in 1754, no expense was spared in the construction of The Assembly House and historians view it as one of the most important buildings in Norwich. The building is now a restaurant, cookery school and wedding venue and they are renowned for their impressive afternoon teas which are fabulous, however one needs to devote plenty of time to savour the many elements included, so not for us today.
I've had a lovely birthday and have been touched by the generosity and thoughtfulness of friends and family, demonstrated by the many cards, flowers and presents that I've so enjoyed today.
