I signed up to the Marathon of Afghanistan Virtual 5k Run and on the spur of the moment decided to run it today. The event is raising money for various causes around the Afghanistan crisis. A friend is involved in organising and is a previous winner of the race.

I decided to run it as a canicross with Cali, unsurprisingly as I have hardly run solo recently. After a camera photo which will be 32/365 we took ourselves down to Ross Park on the banks of Loch Lomond on the way to Luss and ran around the woods for the requisite distance.

Running fairly hard, if not quite at race pace and unlike our classes we didn't stop, so a good workout and good fun over the twisty, gently undulating, woody soft terrain. Man and dog enjoyed it and even more knowing we were doing some good.

The event has been extended, so still time to enter if you feel inclined.
