POTTERY

I was scouting about for a picture today and decided on this piece of pottery I made in my pottery phase of life.  I got reasonably serious about it  - had some lessons got an electric wheel for throwing the pots and away I went.  I never went to the stage of getting a kiln but used to do a bit of 'Raku' firing in a 20 Gallon barrel I made with a gas fired burner into the side.  It was great fun and I stilll think about that time. I even went to Lombok to study their making and firing techniques.. wonderful experience...
