The Aga saga......

Covid Kev back to work today seemingly no worse for wear.
Cattle fed then headed next door to load up 3 cull cows for the mart at St Boswells. Dropped them off, washed the trailer out then headed to the canteen for a breakfast, even got some chips as they were short of black pudding and sausages !
Then headed round to see my mechanic pal on the way home. Didn't stay long as I got a phone call that a lorry load of feed was on its way. Timed it just right though as Kev was just unloading the last ton when I got there.
Put a couple of loads of silage in to the slats cattle then tackled the most pressing job before Mrs F got home....
The Aga went out yesterday which is a major incident ! The kitchen was like an ice box this morning without its heat.
Disconnected the fuel pipe and took the burner out. The centre inlet was totally coked up,as bad as I've seen it,a lump about the size of a golf ball. So scraped it all off with a screwdriver, drilled out the brass elbow fitting ,blew everything out with the compressor airline ,put the wicks back in, reassembled the rest of the bits and eventually got it to light. Now it will take about a day to heat back up ( hopefully). Fingers crossed.
We shall see......
