Postcard from Bergen
This morning we climbed up one of Bergen’s many hills (the one with the funicular railway which is out of service just now) to the high lit-up point in the postcard, taken some eight or nines hours later after a few hours of snow had magicked the town up. In fact most of the day was spent wandering around exploring, with the odd stop for coffee, bookshop visiting and shopping for ‘essential items’. We waved Morten off home to Oslo mid-afternoon after a really good reunion; hope we don’t leave it so long next time. And late on S got a message to say her luggage has been found and was heading to Bergen. Cue a celebratory couple of beers in a pretty decent pub we found not too far from the hotel. Now as long as it turns up tomorrow …..
