The last slice of Christmas

Well, my Christmas cake lasted until today! As I said at the time, instead of making a round cake and trying to cut ‘small’ slices, I made a traybake. Same amount of mixture but in a shallow square tin, marzipanned but not iced (I’m not a lover of icing). I cut it into 28slices each weighing 70-80g and vowed to eat just one piece  a day! 
Today is 30th January, there were 7 days left in December after Christmas Day - so my 28 slices lasted 37 days!
