They come in threes . . .

What a day.

It started well when somebody decided to throw her morning mug of tea all over the bed and floor.  I find the excuse that “I fell asleep” a bit lame.

First job for muggings of course was to completely launder ALL of the bed linen, including the quilt.  The second job was to get the Vax into service to clean the edge of the mattress, and the carpet!  I only did the carpet a few days ago!

Second thing - once again the bin men forgot the kitchen waste bin.  More snotagrams to the council, and our local district councillor who instigated the food waste scheme in the first place.  We await collection (I have the non-collection all recorded on the CCTV).

Third thing - Tesco delivery.  WE have “DO NOT SUBSTITUTE” permanently set on all orders.  Yet again the picker has chosen to ignore this.  The oranges chosen were no use at all to us, but we did keep the alternative flavour dish washer tabs.   Snotagram in order.

So what is the significance of the blip photo?  Well that bedside mat is the last thing Pauline’s mum ever made, and has great sentimental value.  It is old and well worn.  It was also soaked in somebody’s tea.

Pauline thought it would have to go out, but nothing ventured, nothing gained.  When the main wash was finished I put it through on ‘delicate’ wash.  It not only survived, but it’s been de-fluffed and is as good as new (almost) and is drying in the airing cupboard.

At extra is the sunset from last night, well worth a viewing.
