Weeting Castle Ruins
What is left of a 12th Century castle in Weeting, Suffolk. It was a manor house with a 3 storey tower and large hall near the village. It ceased to be occupied in the 14th century and has been decaying ever since. That is along time to be falling apart.
We decided to have a walk somewhere new and found a route which took in this location and Grimes Graves. Unfortunately the latter was closed which shortened the walk somewhat but it was a glorious day which made the walk a pleasure regardless.
