Beyond

As I said to a fellow blipper earlier, "It's gonna be my face today, it's all I've got". Some days...

So after this and that and making pancakes and swimming and watching (and singing along with) Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at Filmhouse with just sitting and family and then going for Chinese with leasko and getting the girls all bathed and hairwashed and generally presentable for returning to school tomorrow it was time for a spot of TV, summat that I don't watch a lot of and talk about even less, but boy, tonight's was pretty special.

First up was cycling, the highlights of Paris-Roubaix, 254km including 52km of cobbles, 'The Hell Of Europe' they were calling it, it looked brutal.

Next, a fantastic documentary that I sort of knew about but had missed first time round, 'From The Sea To The Land Beyond', a collection of film footage from the last 100 years all relating to the sea and coast together with a score by British Sea Power, a band that I've got to admit I've never really listened to before. It's great and it's on iplayer for the next week right here. Highly recommended.
