Painted cast iron irons

These are very pretty but they really don’t seem to have a purpose unless you wanted to use them as weights. I lifted one and I swear it was as heavy as my kettle ball.  The smooth sides could make them, bookends but then you would not see the paintings. I guess they are meant to sit on a shelf and look pretty.
