Aperture on Life

Look into my eyes!

This Border Collie has eyes that are visible from a distance. I saw the eyes before I saw the dog. When I saw the photo I couldn't help but laugh. What can you say to a look like that?
The owner has not just one but two dogs with eyes that are truly spooky incredible. Forget the rag doll, this is something else! The owner was in deep conversation with others so I took only a couple of shots but I'd have liked to have taken some more, with a bit of action.

Another marvellous day. Although not quite as warm, I'd hoped to see some moths or butterflies. There were a few that fluttered around out of range of my lens.
It's Sunday, so every man and his dogs is out. I heard 'Fenton' replaced with other names, more times on my walk, the dogs just as oblivious to their owners commands. Most of the wildlife knows that and slips into hiding. Away from the tram tram, a roe buck grazed a field in company of rabbits and the birds of prey hovered over secluded fields. It often amazes me that with such a vast human/pet invasion that the wildlife survives at all. I'm content but sometimes wish to be back in places where man's footprint is less severe.

The dog made the blip because I saw the image before a friend arrived and a pleasant evening diverted my attention. A phone call has also brought wonderful news and my smile is eating my ears.
The other photos can wait!
