A trip to The Botanics this afternoon. We've been going there since 1992 we reckoned (when we were just visiting Edinburgh for a weekend away, a couple of years before we moved up here for good) and have been tons of times in the years since. And have had coffee and cake at the terrace cafe plenty of times too....but not for a good while. So, because The Botanics is generally ace and it's free to visit, we thought we'd splash a bit of our hard-earned on a little alfresco treat today. Nothing to do with the fact that we may have been a little bit thirsty and a little bit hungry too. Nothing at all.
