RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch

I was going to do this yesterday, but the strong winds kept the birds off the feeders.  Today started with a cloudless sky so between 8 and 9 'o' clock, I watched through the lounge window as various species of birds visited the garden.  These are just a few of the varieties that visited the garden during the hour.

The record for the most of each bird in the garden at the same time is as follows:

Chaffinches (5), Goldfinches (5), Blackbirds (4), Wood Pigeons (4), Blue tit (3), Great tit (3), Greenfinches (2), Robins (2), Sparrows (2) Dunnock (1)

add in the ubiquitous squirrel trying to muscle in on the feeders and it was a busy hour.
