Big Garden Birdwatch 2022

Today the sun shone, unadvertised on my weather app. The blue skies lured us out for another long walk on the slopes of the Cotswold escarpment. The views were infinite. The bird song incessant. The miles melted away in a blur of feathers. The three red kite sparring on the early spring thermals was a breath taking highlight.

My blip shows three starlings while high above a BA silver winged bird contrails from Heathrow to Manchester. A very short haul flight indeed!

The updated Highway Code has introduced a hierarchy of road users promoting the pedestrian to pole position closely followed by cyclists and those riding horses. Judging by much of the bad driving we witnessed today it is very clear that the majority of car drivers are dangerously unaware of these changes.
