Spring without winter
“If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.” – Anne Bradstreet, Meditations Divine and Moral.
The first early daffodils have just burst out of their winter shrouds in my front garden. Such a welcome sight, full of hope that spring is not far away, and a reminder of more pleasant days to come.
