A few shades of green

There’s not much going on in the garden at the moment. We’re widening the beds and trying to improve the soil . Yesterday we forked in our beautiful home made compost from the bin we started nearly 2 years ago but not in this picture- this show the clay rubble we’re dealing with :( .
Today after lunch we went and got some plants that will give us winter colour; the variegated holly in this photo is one we bought , against some hellebores . Even though there is not much variety of colour, there’s beautiful shades of green.
