Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Our "Window World" Wall

The "Window World" guys were back again today to install the correct windows. When we were here in January they put new windows in every room in the house, but a couple of them were not correct - they were not "double-hung" which means they did not open from the top and from the bottom. So today they brought the replacements to take care of that situation. The view from this room is spectacular - we can see the entire Estero Bay from the south at Point Buchon, to the north, which is Point Estero.

Tomorrow Dave from "Classic Binds and Drapery" will be here to discuss window coverings and take measurements. We are planning to put insulated cellular shades on these front windows that will be "top-down and bottom-up" and most often we will open them from the top of the window and that will provide lots of privacy from the house across the street from us.

The new windows have made the house considerably quieter, not that we had thought it was noisy before they were installed. When it is cold outside, the house is also warmer because the new windows all seal tightly in this old house built 1942. All of this is very exciting; not to mention a bit expensive.

Good night from the Central Coast.
