Mummy's girl

Audrey is a real Mummy's girl at the moment and it melts my heart. Here she is spotting me as we got out of the car earlier from a trip to see her Great Grandma (or Gee Gee as she is affectionately known in our family).

My poor husband got in at 5am and had had little sleep and everything he did with Audrey seemed to go wrong. Yet whenever she saw me, she was full of the joys. I told him it is swings and roundabouts and not to take it to heart. Some weeks it is all about Daddy, some weeks it is Mummy. There's no predicting which way it will go.

Had a lovely day. Got up early and put a Coq Au Vin in the slow cooker and the smell if it cooking filled the house - a proper Sunday smell!

Took Audrey to Chorlton Brasserie for my morning coffee while my husband slept. By the time we got back, he was just surfacing. Then it was a quick drive to see Gee Gee and home to catch up on The Voice and my Ebay entrepreneuring! A lovely day.
