Boundary Dwellers

Malik makes moves

That was interesting.

Storm Malik blew the black bin over, then the brown so I accepted defeat and tucked them side by side lying flat with their lids against the wall. The wind buffeted them both about on the ground, blew open the lids and took off with some packaging to play with. I found that all the way round the shed and across the drying green caught by the chicken wire and long grass against the neighbour's fence. Next to go was the bench cover, found heading north towards the same neighbour but caught before it got there. The bench cushion, released by the loss of the cover, made its escape in the opposite direction, east up and over the old car port and found under the winter jasmine. Last but not least, my great-nephew's trampoline was lifted up over the log pile and luckily came to rest against the boundary wall rather than sailing over it into the derelict field beyond.

The bins at least now have a new, less windswept though less convenient home.

And an iris flowered.
