Surprise!

The surprise in question is not the snow - we knew that was going to happen - but rather the wee sparrow I caught on camera. I was shooting pics of this morning's deer visitor when I noticed that a sparrow was sitting on the faux deer's ear. So I thought "oh, that's cute!" and snapped a few frames. I assumed it was the usual white-throated sparrow. But! When I uploaded the photos to my laptop what should I see but a chipping sparrow! Whee! I see them regularly on our walk, but very rarely in my own garden. Probably because I'm not paying adequate attention.
