Dollars and Sense

Chester and I were early arriving at the vet's office, so we took a spin down to the winery.  The entire forest looked like this.  It was breathtaking in the sun.  The temperature was also breathtaking at 4F without wind chill. 

Yesterday Chester spent the entire day at the vet's office.  After a myriad of tests and x-rays, I was able to bring him home.  Of course I paid the bill first:  $690.60.  Today he returned for another round of x-rays to see if the "foreign object" in his belly had moved.  It had not. $489.50.  If his condition worsened, I was instructed to take him to the emergency vet clinic around 30 miles away. 

I think the foreign object is a 50-cent catnip filled mouse (aka mousie.)
