Waiting the storm out

Well it was wild when I went to bed and it was bonkers when I got up this morning. My plans to meet a friend for a walk and lunch at Dalkeith Country Park went out the window. At one point at least 5 of our roads were closed at the same time with fallen trees and there were powercuts aplenty.

I ended up staying put, seemed the safest option so was mighty pleased when this magazine arrived this afternoon (that's when we get our post storm or not). Its absolutely stunning (the photography in particular) and they would like to give me some editorial in the Spring edition, which is very exciting. The only problem is how much I hate my photo being taken but I may just need to suck it up and get on with this one - it goes into a lot of the big estates in Scotland and an ideal audience for me.

It's so still out there just now, what a difference. Another storm coming in tomorrow though apparently.
