Lost ….. and found

You may remember Wednesday’s kite surfer extra, and my comment about watching him being carried high above the sea before the strengthened winds appeared to call an end to that day’s sport. I was adamant I’d caught him flying high, but when I checked the shots that I’d downloaded, I was disappointed not to find it. Clearly I’d missed the moment, and though there were several action shots of him speeding across the bay, spray flying in his wake, none showed him being lifted from the water.

And then today, I discovered that there were some shots from Wednesday remaining on my memory card, and among them there was this one - the soaring shot that I captured after all! So apologies, I know it isn’t today’s shot, though of course it has been downloaded and edited today (definitely best viewed large).

It’s been a day for staying in and waiting for my new lens to be delivered - though we spend some time on a zoom call with G’s brother and his wife - she’s on a high dose of immunosuppressants  which means she remains nervous of any face-to-face contact.

Just as it’s getting dark, my lens arrives - my first ‘proper’ macro. I have a little play photographing some flowers, but hopefully tomorrow I’ll be able to get some better shots. One of my first attempts is here in extras.
