Hunkered Down Herd

Ollie dog and I walked at Lodge Farm for the first time since last May. It was lovely to hear the skylarks singing.

We noticed that the trap door to the underground bunker was open. I'm always tempted to climb down the metal ladder and explore.

The farmer's daughter's events business seems to be doing well. There was a constant stream of vehicles on the concrete road. I'll avoid that in future.

The Nazeing Cricket Club clubhouse has been demolished. I've read online that it is to be rebuilt by May. Local man Peter Danes left a legacy for the build.

I was hoping to see deer and eventually spotted a small herd of dark and light fallow resting in the distance. As I stood watching they got up one by one but they didn't run as we were too far away to be a threat.
