Two Coats are Better than One

Despite the heavy wind caused by Storm Malik, Elaine and l set off for Skipton.
First we caught the Ilkley bus.
Had half an hour before our next bus and in that time l managed to buy a new walking coat and we even had time for a flat white.
We soon got to Skipton,  we usually walk up to the farm shop but because it was so windy we caught the bus going to Settle as it was just departing and it dropped us outside the entrance.
The flower shop hits you in the eye as you go in and theses lovely poppies really impressed me.
We had booked a table for lunch, then we dd a little bit of shopping and caught the bus into Skipton.
There l bought a boiled wool coat ( two coats in a day!) and a linen dress both heavily reduced in the end of the sales. Also a necklace for 99p in Oxfam.
Home now and the wind is subsiding, thank goodness.
All local trains stopped because of fallen trees on tithe line.
