Isn't she amazing?

I took this last night as Mum had her scan results yesterday afternoon.  She had to share bad news with Dad, who had to relay that to me and my sister.  He had arranged that we could meet Mum in the corridor outside the ward as Mum wanted to tell us both together.  

She was so calm (outwardly) and it isn't good.  She doesn't have the whole details yet as they need to get a team together to discuss things further.  What we do know is that she has a rare form of bowel cancer, which has quietly spread to her liver.  She will have the blockage sorted next week, and once the jaundice is better be allowed home.  After that it will be chemotherapy as an out patient, but she is determined to fight it and that's all we can ask for.
