Shambles

We had a couple of wanders around York today . This was taken tonight in the Shambles where the buildings almost reach across the street at the top.. Mark thinks it looks like Diagon Alley from the Harry Potter books.

We also had an amazing lunch with old friends from church in Aberdeen who now live just outside York. It was fantastic to see them again and Kirsty had made this beautiful lunch with delicious homemade soup and bread.
The kids spent the afternoon playing outside in tshirts because the weather was so nice. It was great to see that language barriers posed no problems when they were playing tig, touch rugby and basket ball.

We finished off the day with a hog roast sandwich and another wander round York.
