I have been away from home all day doing one errand and another so was struggling with what to post today.  Across from my office desk is this painting done by a friend/Chinese artist in Beijing.  He wanted to give me a gift (because I had sold many of his paintings here in the US) and so decided to do a family tree according to Chinese astrology.  Initially, he wanted to do our children AND grandchildren but I told him with that many people it would look like a farm!  So he decided to do our immediate family:
rooster is my husband
pig is me
ram is daughter #1
rat is daughter #2
snake is daughter #3

Anyway, pretty neat.  And something I will always cherish.  What great fun it is to have friends all over the world.  :)
