In the Ateneum

For those in the British Isles, The Ateneum is the National Gallery of Finland and would be equivalent to the National Gallery in Dublin or in London. Indeed since it was the original source of art teaching and practice in Finland it would also be similar to London's Royal Academy. We had a wonderful time there today seeing work from the permanent collection, including a small Rodin and the first ever van Gogh to be owned and exhibited by any Gallery.
